Sitting for Errands- Now that Christmas is over, Moms probably have a lot of returns. Let the parents of small children know that if they have a ton of returns to do, you can sit in their car with their kids for a really low price while they do their returns.

Scrape windshields- Sell your local neighbors on scraping their windshields. Usually people are running behind and need to scrape their windshield before they leave for work. You could earn a few dollars per day by doing this.

Shovel snow– No need for explanation here. You have a strong back and an eager desire to make money so ask your neighbors if you can shovel their walk and driveway after each snowfall for them.

Break ice off sidewalks– Sometimes the snow will melt and turn into ice. It takes a lot of work to break that ice and get off the walk so it's not slippery. Offer this service to neighbors.

Salt side walks– You can charge extra for salting side walks since you can buy the salt and then charge a little more for it.

Hot chocolate– The best place to sell this would be at a neighborhood snow hill where families are sledding. In vacation mode they will think its even more fun to top off their adventure by getting everyone in the family a drink of hot chocolate. Buy the hot chocolate in bulk at Sam's Club or Costco and bring it in an igloo cooler. Use Styrofoam cups to keep them hot.

Re-sell Christmas stuff for next year– I always love to get my Christmas wrapping paper for the next year right after Christmas. Last year I bought my wrapping paper that was $2 for $.50. You can buy other things like decorations and candy that doesn't go bad and sell it on your local Classified or Craigslist or to friends from Facebook.

Up-sell Black Friday stuff- There are some real good deals on Black Friday. You can buy some of the great deals and upsell them on Amazon or Craigslist.

Making money around Christmas

Christmas tree disposal– Haul off Christmas trees for people after Christmas. This is a great way to make money as a kid in the winter.

Christmas decorations up and down– Putting Christmas decorations up and taking them down is a lot of work. I am sure you could find some neighbors who would be willing to pay you to do this with them.

Christmas lights up and down– This is like Christmas decorations up and down

Christmas tree skirt, stockings and decorations– If you are crafty  and/or like to sew, this might be a good one for you. You can get Christmas fabric for a great deal and make custom made Christmas stuff for people. I've been wanting to make a Christmas tree skirt and individual stockings for my family for years but never get the chance to do it. If you make some for your family and take some pictures and share them on Facebook, you can make custom Christmas stuff for others as well.
